We put our faces and our hands into it, every single day

Roots through time

Each year left its mark. Each season taught us something. This is our story step by step, harvest after harvest.

  • 1960 – The origins

It all begins here among clumps of hard soil and bare hands when the family plants the first rows of vines in the countryside of Desenzano.

  • 2013 – “Il Nito” and “Il Bepi” are born

With the start of our Reserve wines, we dedicate our most intense labels to those who taught us everything: Bepi and Nito.

  • 1990 – Nito and Bepi found La Rifra

The art of farming meets the vision of a future waiting to be bottled.

  • 2018 – Certified sustainability

We obtain the S.Q.N.P.I. certification, confirming our commitment to sustainable and environmentally respectful viticulture.

  • 2000 – The first bottle signed La Rifra

With the arrival of nephews Claudio and Luigino, the production of our first bottles begins.

  • Today – A living legacy

The third generation joins in, carrying on the family tradition - together, with the same love, and the same land.

Where wine speaks the language of the land

Where wine speaks the language of the earth

La Rifra is a small family-run winery nestled in the heart of Lugana, just a few steps from Lake Garda. For generations, we have cultivated our vineyards with passion and respect for the land, producing wines that reflect the richness of the territory stretching between Lake Garda and the Morainic hills. Each bottle tells a story of dedication, tradition, and quality that we want to share with you.

Sustainability for us is a way of being in the world

We have never seen sustainability as a trend to chase. For us, it has always been a matter of respect: for the land we work every day, for those who will drink our wines, and for those who will come after us.

  • We cultivate according to the principles of integrated viticulture and are certified by S.Q.N.P.I., but above all, we grew up with the idea that the vineyard is not to be exploited: it must be listened to, accompanied, and cared for.

  • Reducing impact, promoting biodiversity, protecting the natural balance: these are choices we make every day, with conviction, not out of obligation. Because if wine is to tell who we are, then it can only be born from a clean and conscious gesture.
